La maison St. Firmin lies at the head of the historic ‘Cavée St. Firmin’, a cobbled street that was once the main thoroughfare into Montreuil. With the advent of the motor car, a gentler approach to the town was constructed, leaving the Cavée St. Firmin as a picturesque backwater with no through traffic. The house is a stone’s throw from the ramparts and a short walk from St. Saulve and the cafés of La Place Gambetta. La maison St. Firmin has been newly renovated and benefits from a wood-burning stove in the sitting room, making it ideal for cosy winter weekends as well as summer lets.
